![]() ![]() Players can find presents hidden in the levels that contain accessories for the prince. The world of Katamari Damacy is brought to life with off-beat animation and a catchy soundtrack. Bonus missions restore constellations and have their own restrictions. Wanting to challenge the prince, the King sets requirements on the Katamari’s size and sets time limits on the level. A tutorial stage takes the player through the controls and sets up the story as well as introducing a side story about a Japanese girl who can feel the cosmos. Players steer the Katamari from a third-person perspective using the analog sticks on the PS2. Over many levels, the Katamari can eventually pick up people, cars, and other bigger items. Push pins and paper clips cling to the Katamari increasing its size so it can roll over obstacles and pick up bigger items. If i had to advise you start with any game it would either be We Love Katamari for the PS2 or my personal favorite Me and my Katamari for the PSP. I guess what i'm saying is i don't think gaming would be the same without Katamari and i think the games are very slept on in terms of people knowing about it. The first Katamari game i ever played was Beautiful Katamari and i was instantly hooked. It all started when my uncle gave me advice to try a "stupid looking game that was insanely fun" and advised i try Katamari since i was running out of games to rent as a kid.
